In November, the project team notes that considerable progress has been made at the construction site, including the completion of site clearing activities. More than 500,000 tons of fill material and 200,000 tons of stone have been trucked to the site in support of overall site preparation. Since July, installation of stormwater and wastewater sewer systems has been initiated and pile driving continues according to plan. .
Additional activities include the start of concrete foundations in the Hydrocracker and Crude Units and the ringwall foundations for tanks in the new Tank Farm.
Site preparation for the new Sulfur Complex has also begun with the demolition of several buildings inside the existing plant.
