About the Garyville Refinery

Marathon's Garyville, La., refinery is strategically located on the east bank of the Mississippi River, midway between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The current refinery is located on more than 3,000 acres of land adjacent to U.S. Highway 61 and the Mississippi River.
A 245,000 barrel per day (bpd) refinery today, Garyville is currently the 18th largest U.S. refinery in crude throughput. It will be among the largest refineries in the country with the completion of the expansion, growing to 425,000 bpd of refining capacity.
