Subcontractor & Supplier Requirements

FAQs

How can I submit my company information to GME?
A subcontractor/supplier information form has been placed on the GME web site.   Please feel free to submit your general company information here for consideration for future opportunities.

What will happen to my information once it is submitted?
First, you will receive immediate notification that the information was transmitted successfully. The information will then be processed and evaluated by GME procurement personnel. The project team will reference our database on a continuous basis to determine the need for additional suppliers.

How can I get my company considered to be added to the approved contractors and subcontractors list?
Each company will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Garyville's current Approved Manufacturer's List (AML) is a very complete and comprehensive list, but depending on market conditions and local demand, we anticipate the need to expand the list periodically to accommodate the needs of the project.  As the need arises, GME procurement personnel will contact your company to initiate the qualification process.

What are the safety requirements for working at the Garyville Major Expansion job site?
Each contractor and subcontractor must update their safety information with PEC/Premier Safety Management each year to maintain approval to work onsite. The safety rating must be 95 percent or higher for approval to work onsite. A safety questionnaire is administered by MPC during the approval process.

What are the other requirements for getting on the Approved Contractors and Subcontractors list?
Approved Contractors - Prior to contracting for on-site work, contractors must have an executed service contract, insurance certificate evidencing the required contract coverage and endorsements as described within the contract, MPC approved rates, and a completed diversity questionnaire. Generally, this approval process takes three weeks.

Approved Subcontractors - Since a subcontractor directly reports to the main contractor, MPC requires a subcontractor to have approved safety rating of 95 percent or higher with PEC/Premier Safety Management.
